Upon my retirement from service in early 2004, my employer, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), instructed Segon International Movers to pack and ship my household goods and personal effects, containerized, from Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) to Blantyre (Malawi).

Segon International performed their assignment with the highest level of professionalism by any measure: they were meticulous, methodical, did not skimp on packing materials, paid particularly special attention to the packing and loading of all fragile items and they did this to the satisfaction – even to the wishes – of my family members who were always present.

Having received the shipment at Blantyre and examined it, I found that although the container was completely full, nothing… not one thing, was broken or damaged in any way. This saved me from the hassle of insurance claims that usually plague transaction of this nature. Moreover, Segon International was able, throughout the movement of my shipment, to inform me where my container was. They were exact all the time… what a service!
